Little known influence tactic to increase conversions

I recently re-entered the world of Facebook and quickly realized why I had left in the first place. Facebook was meant to be a place to keep informed of what’s happening in your circle of influence’s lives. What it quickly began was a platform for everyone to post their political and social opinions. You don’t…

Automatic No

No! is the automatic answer. Whenever you ask your patient/lead to buy from you, their mind automatically finds reasons to say no. Think about it, they certainly don’t look for a reason to say yes! When chiropractors hear a no, most, simply tuck their tales between their legs and go on about their business. A…

Purpose driven presentations

Imagine spending your teen years fighting in one of the dirtiest wars in history, in your own backyard. Instead of the beach, movies with friends and playing dodgeball, you’re dodging live bullets, napalm, and agent orange. That’s exactly what Chef Bui did. Before he came to live in America, when he was 17, he joined…

Rio street beggar: how to influence when ur survival depends on it

Like any major city in America, Rio has it’s fair share of Mendigos (street beggars). There’s a guy on my corner who is there rain or shine and just shouts at passer-byres (i’m not sure if I just made that word up). “Compre-me un café!”… “Compre-me un café!”…. (buy me a coffee) or “compre-me un…

The most powerful proof

Back in 2008 when Roberto and I first founded, Influenceology (The Chiro Speaking Co. parent company), we were in the grind mode and said yes to EVERY speaking opportunity that came our way. Green peace influence tactic

Every Tuesday and Thursday, I take Portuguese lessons. I walk to them because they are relatively close. Where I live in Ipanema, the streets fairly full of people doing ‘their ‘thang’…. The guy selling corn on the cob, churros, beggars and the green peace gang. … I call them a gang because they display gang-like behavior.…

Seinfeld’s advice to Chiro speakers

Jerry Seinfeld came out with a new comedy special on Netflix. As a long time fan of his, it caught my eye. The whole act was his personal story — his hero’s journey. That answered the question, “Who am I and how did I get here?” For any student of storytelling and certainly any IFF…

The art of eye contact

Let’s rap about eye contact… In the context of public speaking and influence, eye contact is one of the less sexy topics you can bring up. But if you think making money is sexy… listen up. Studying and mastering eye contact is sluffed off as inconsequential and trivial. But you don’t have to look further…

Dope on a rope

I once read a fable in Karen Salmansohn’s book, “How to be Happy Dammit”: DOPE ON A ROPE “There once was this criminal who had committed a crime. (Because, hey, that’s what criminals do. That’s their job!) Anyway, he was sent to the king for his punishment. The king told him he had a choice…

Avoid dotardedness w/ the new no-tard screener

Dotard. Pronounced DOE-turd. If you’ve been following the rants between Trump and Jong Un, you know they have given each other nicknames. Rocket-man (Kim Jong Un), sent everyone running for a dictionary when he called our executive in charge a “Dotard”. I have to admit, I thought his English was just jacked up and he…
