Seinfeld’s advice to Chiro speakers
Jerry Seinfeld came out with a new comedy special on Netflix.
As a long time fan of his, it caught my eye.
The whole act was his personal story — his hero’s journey.
That answered the question, “Who am I and how did I get here?”
For any student of storytelling and certainly any IFF graduate, I recommend you watch how he structured the ‘talk’.
But there was one thing that he said that jump out at me like a snake-in-a-peanut-can.
He said, “I’m going to tell you a joke now. Of course, you NEVER want to say that…’I’m going to tell you a joke..’”
I can’t tell you how many times, Chiropractors say, “ok I wanna tell you a story”, “can I tell you my story?”, or “I’m going to tell you a story now”
Big mistake.
A pro like Jerry knows it.
I know it.
Did you know it?
It’s the little mistakes like that, telling them you’re going to tell them a story, thanking them for their time, etc… that can make a huge difference over the long run of your speaking career. (doing anything at the beginning of your talk that off puts an audience member, can make it almost impossible to convert them at the end)
Want to know if you’re making little mistakes that are costing you big time? Little mistakes that are killing your conversions and costing you massive profits?
In 2 weeks, we’re hosting our Chiro only speaking event. A small intimate group of Chiropractors, with Roberto by their side, will tear apart their current talks and re-create them The Chiro Speaking Company way.
